He was airlifted from Mumbai to Ranchi. At present, Aman Srivastava has been kept at the STS office in Dhurva. It is likely that soon he will be produced in the court and taken on remand.

Several mobiles and dozens of SIM cards were recovered from him. Police has taken out the CDR of the recovered mobile. The numbers of many leaders, officers and white-collar people have been found in it, with whom he was in constant contact. Along with this, the numbers of those people who are associated with coal business have also been received.

Aman Srivastava, a resident of Kumba located in Hunterganj police station of Chatra district, was making Ranchi his base for a long time. On Tuesday, Aman Srivastava was produced in the local court in Mumbai, from where the court granted transit remand till May 20 to the Jharkhand ATS to take him to Ranchi.

Has been involved in many crimes including murder, extortion

ADG Campaign Sanjay Anandrao Lathkar told that gangster Aman Srivastava was a challenge for the police of Ranchi, Ramgarh, Chatra, Lohardaga, Hazaribagh and Latehar districts of Koyalanchal. Extortion was being collected from the businessmen by the Aman Srivastava gang. Incidents of arson in vehicles and death threats were being made for not paying extortion money. In the chargesheet, the ATS had said that the Aman Srivastava gang used to create fear among businessmen-contractors by firing and arson to buy weapons and spread terror by collecting money from extortion and levies, so that people could fulfill their demands out of fear. He used to send the amount received as extortion through hawala. A total of 23 cases including two of murder, four of attempt to murder, 13 of extortion, two of Arms Act, one of UAPA and one of Section 174(A) are registered against Aman Srivastava in different police stations. Apart from this, cases have also been registered against other members of the gang in police stations of different districts. There will be a continuous campaign against such criminal gangs. Action will be taken with the cooperation of the jail administration to crack down on the activities of miscreants lodged in the jail.
