The normal time of onset of monsoon in Jharkhand is around the second week of June (14-15 June). This year, the monsoon may arrive in Kerala from the Bay of Bengal around June 4. This will affect Jharkhand as well. If there is no change in the normal trend of monsoon, then monsoon may arrive in Jharkhand in the third week of June (around June 20).

Here, Delhi-NCR remained in the grip of dusty storm on Tuesday. The Meteorological Department has released pictures taken from the satellite, in which a thick sheet of dust was seen over a large part of North-West India. Meteorologists have attributed the dust blowing to a combination of scorching heat in northwest India for five days, dry soil due to no rain and strong wind since midnight.
