Ranjit Kohli alias Rakibul Hasan had made CM Hemant Soren a witness in the case of conversion, sexual harassment and dowry harassment of former national shooter Tara Shahdev. JMM District President Mushtaq Alam appeared in the court on Tuesday as his representative. Mushtaq Alam told the court that he did not recognize Rakibul Hasan. He said that in the year 2013, Iftar party was organized at CM’s place.
For this, the invitation card from the CMO goes to the party office. From there the preferred leader of the party takes the card from the office in-charge. One of them must have given the card to Rakibul or himself must have joined the Iftar party by getting the card in some way. After this he is connecting his relationship with the CM. The main accused Ranjit Kohli alias Rakibul Hasan has submitted the list of defense witnesses to the court, in which CM Hemant Soren was also made a witness.

Significantly, apart from the main accused in the case, Ranjit Kohli alias Rakibul Hasan, his mother Kaushar Rani, dismissed High Court vigilance registrar Mushtaq Ahmed are facing trial. Ranjit Kohli and Tara Shahdev were married on July 7, 2014. A few days after the marriage, dowry was being demanded from her while torturing her for conversion. After the fight, Tara Shahdev had lodged an FIR in Hindpiri police station mentioning the above. Later in the year 2015, the CBI took over the case.
