Ukrainian Azov Battalion threatens Indian media outlet

While majority of the Western media is continuing massive propaganda against Russia, where even a section of them are openly calling for extermination of Vladimir Putin, Ukrainian neo-Nazi Azov Battalion has now resorted to notorious attempt of intimidating international media outlets, for the “crime” of publishing prolific news and op-eds on the Ukraine war and these elements are continuing such hostility openly.

On May 15, 2023, Indian media outlet Eastern Herald received an email from [email protected], where the sender of the email wrote:

Greetings,

We are the fact-checking team from “The Ukrainian Review”. Our mission is to minimize the influence of Russian propaganda in global media. Regrettably, your newspaper has come to our attention due to disinformation publications and the propagation of Russian propaganda narratives.

Based on our analysis, your journalists primarily rely on Russian sources of information when discussing the war in Ukraine, thereby disseminating Russian propaganda narratives to your readers. Additionally, you frequently broadcast statements from Russian public figures, which are rife with propaganda, without providing any supplementary information.

In the near future, we will be publishing an article dedicated to the spread of Russian propaganda in your media outlet. We are offering you the opportunity to comment on your connection with Russian propaganda so that we can include it in our article.

Best regards,

“The Ukrainian Review” team

The sender of the above-mentioned email does not provide name, address or any contact information, proving they are clandestinely continuing such notorious activities.

It may be mentioned here that Eastern Herald has been in the recent months quoted by a large number of international media outlets, including CNN as the news outlet gives balanced media coverage to both Russian and Ukrainian side.

While Ukrainian regime, including neo-Nazi Azov Battalion are openly and aggressively attempting to suffocate international media outlets and turn those into propaganda machines in favor of Kiev regime, Russia side has been totally failing in countering such actions, whereas Moscow also is gradually getting cornered by the well-orchestrated anti-Putin and anti-Moscow propaganda warfare. It was also reported in the media that a section of Russian missions abroad are already playing anti-Putin roles and indirectly discouraging international media outlets in publishing news and opinion editorials in favor of Vladimir Putin or Russia’s ongoing military actions in Ukraine.
