The salesmen or employees of the Manpower Company Prime One Work Force Pralli, appointed by the Excise Department for the sale of liquor in the capital Ranchi, have run away from the shops after misappropriating money. Embezzlement or theft of about seven lakh rupees has been caught in two liquor shops located at Argora Chowk and Harmu Bazar. This difference has been found only after matching the stock and sales of seven days (May 1 to 6, 2023).

A total of seven salesmen of both the shops are absconding. The Excise Department has registered a case related to this at Argora police station. Before May 1, huge disturbances are being expressed in the figures of stock and sales of liquor shops across the state being operated by manpower companies. It is being investigated by the excise department.

Suspicion of transfer of money from posh machines to personal account:

In Jharkhand, salesmen of manpower companies responsible for retail sale of liquor are also reported to be using private posh machines in shops. However, this has not been confirmed yet. The excise department had received information about the use of additional posh machines by salesmen for online payment at liquor shops. Due to which the amount received from the sale of liquor was going to the personal bank account of the salesman or the concerned manpower company instead of JSBCL.

Absconded from JSBCL office:

A difference of Rs 5,76,830 and 1,01,810 lakh has been found in the figures of stock and sales of liquor shops located in Argora Chowk and Harmu Bazar from May 1 to 6, respectively. After the raid, all the salesmen were caught and brought to the office of Jharkhand State Beverages Corporation (JSBCL) by Under Inspector Product Pradeep Sharma. All the salesmen ran away from there. However, this has not been mentioned in the FIR.
