Recently, after watching Maithili film Junction Halt, Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav had said that along with the development of infrastructure for films in Bihar, preparations are also going on for policy changes regarding film production in Bihar. According to the departmental information, the film policy has been prepared and the policy has been sent to the finance department for approval. Under the new film policy proposed by the Bihar government, if a producer shoots 75 percent of his film in Bihar, then he will be given subsidy according to the cost. Provision has been made for a single window system for taking all kinds of clearance related to film production. For this, Bihar Film Nirman Nigam has been made the nodal agency.
Many types of subsidies will be available
Departmental officials say that with the proposed new film policy, local artists will get a chance in films. Subsidy will be given according to the film. Many types of subsidies are included in the new film policy proposed by the Bihar government. If there will be a film of one hour, two hours and three hours, then there are different subsidies for that. If actors and directors from outside make films in Bihar and artists from Bihar are cast in the film, then there is a separate subsidy. Subsidy will be paid within one and a half to two months of the application. The film policy has been sent to the Finance Department for approval from the departmental level.

In this regard, departmental minister Jitendra Kumar Rai told the media that after the implementation of the film policy, the facility of shooting would be available. Big actors will come to Bihar and shoot. The fame of Bihar’s location will reach the world. The film industry will also get a boost from this. People working outside films will get employment. Thousands of people will get direct and indirect employment. The trend of the youth of the state in the field of films will increase. There will be a production house for shooting here. There will be an increase in the number of tourists in the state. Shooting can be done in other districts including Rajgir, Valmiki Tiger Reserve, Gaya, Nawada. Bihar will be recognized through the film.
