In the Panchayat by-election in Patna district on Monday, on the day of withdrawal of nominations, 67 members were elected unopposed for Gram Kachari Panch and four for Panchayat member. There are 25 men and 42 women in the Panch elected unopposed. There are two men and two women in the panchayat members. In the elections to be held on May 25, 25 candidates are in the fray for the five chief posts. There are 12 men and 13 women in this. 14 candidates for Panchayat member and 12 candidates for Panch are left in the fray.
Naubatpur’s Chak Chechaul Panchayat has the maximum number of candidates for the post of chief.
Naubatpur’s Chak Chechaul Panchayat has the maximum number of eight candidates for the post of chief. In Paliganj, six candidates are in the fray for the post of Mukhiya in Mera-Patauna Panchayat, six for Ghoswari Panchayat, three for Pandarak East and two for Rampur-Faridpur Panchayat of Phulwarisharif. In Pandarak East, the post fell vacant due to the murder of Chief Gorelal Yadav and Chief of Phulwarisharif Rampur-Faridpur, Neeraj Kumar. On the other hand, the outgoing head of Ghoswari Panchayat, Aarti Kumari, was disqualified for the post of head due to her young age. The post fell vacant due to the untimely demise of Manorama Devi, head of Mera-Patauna Panchayat of Paliganj and Rajkumar Yadav, head of Chak Chechaul Panchayat of Naubatpur.

In Phulwarisharif’s Rampur-Faridpur panchayat, two candidates are in the fray for the post of head after the withdrawal of Rajneesh Kumar’s name. Roopa Kumari and Chanchala Devi are included in this. Roopa Kumari is the wife of the former chief self Neeraj Kumar.
Three candidates Rekha Devi husband Ram Pravesh Singh, Shanti Devi and Rekha Devi husband Dharmaraj remained in the fray for the post of chief in Pandarak East Panchayat.
Six candidates are in the fray for the post of chief in Mera-Patauna Panchayat of Paliganj, Vijay Yadav, Ramavati Devi, Nagendra Pandit, Aman Kumar, Vijay Paswan and Satyendra Sharma alias Murari.
The six candidates in Ghoswari Panchayat include Seema Kumari, Anita Kumari, Pinky Kumari, Sarita Kumari, Sunita Sinha and Sita Kumari.
Ajit Kumar, Manish Kumar, Geeta Devi, Sudhir Kumar, Ritesh Kumar, Dinesh Kumar, Ajit Kumar, Amresh Kumar Sharma are among the eight candidates for the post of head in Chak Chechaul Panchayat of Naubatpur.
