Tej Pratap Yadav, Forest and Environment Minister of Bihar Government has got a big relief. It is being told that the matter is of 2020. This case was filed by Vijay Kumar Yadav. Tej Pratap Yadav’s advocate Jagannath Singh said that Vijay Kumar Yadav had filed a petition in the court to declare Tej Pratap Yadav’s election invalid under Section 100 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951.
Petition was filed for JDU candidate
Advocate Jagannath Singh said that the JDU candidate Raj Kumar Rai, who was defeated by Tej Pratap Yadav, was filed by Vijay Kumar to declare him as the returned candidate. The petitioner alleged that Tej Pratap Yadav had deliberately hidden the information regarding his assets in the nomination papers. The petitioner had called it a corrupt practice as per section 123(2) of the Representation of the People Act. Tej Pratap Yadav has got a big relief by withdrawing the petition.

Hearing will continue against Minister Shamim Ahmed
Bihar government minister Shamim Ahmed has not got much relief from the Patna High Court. It is being told that the hearing on the election petition of Shyam Bihari Prasad will continue in the court. In this election petition also, a demand has been made to cancel the legislature of minister Shamim Ahmed. Petitioner’s preferred advocate SD Sanjay said that two criminal cases were pending against him at the time of nomination for the election. He has given this information to RJD.
