In Surat, miscreants cheated the owner of a medical store located at Haldharu in Kamrej. At the shop, he was cheated by saying that 1 kg gold necklace was to be sold at a cheap price. After which the miscreants took one lakh rupees and ran away holding the fake gold necklace. One of the two accused has been caught by the local police from Dindoli area of Surat.
The thugs sold the metal necklace for one lakh rupees
Mukesh Achalaram Chowdhary runs Amar Medical Store in Haldharu village of Kamrej taluk of Surat district. Mukesh was present at his medical shop on December 28 at around 2 pm. Then two unknown people came and said that we have a gold necklace worth five lakh rupees. Selling this necklace as my son is getting married. We cannot sell this necklace in the market as it is inherited by us, you want to buy a necklace for one lakh rupees? The shopkeepers of the medical store came to the words of both the thugs and agreed to buy the necklace. Mukesh gave one lakh rupees of his savings to these two people.
When in doubt, went to Sony to confirm
Mukesh asks to check the necklace, one of the two thugs breaks a grain from the necklace and rubs it, leading the merchant to believe that the gold is real. After which both of them fled from there with one lakh rupees. Then the merchant of the medical store approached Soni with the suspicion of gold necklace. Where Soni said that this necklace is not gold but false and made of metal. On this, the businessman of the medical stores, knowing about the cheating and betrayal with him, lodged a complaint against both the accused in the Kamrej police station.
Further investigation was done by the Kamrej police.
Vinod Marwari, wanted accused in a cheating case registered at Kamrej police station in Surat district, is standing under the Godadara bridge ahead of Dindoli Sai Point. Based on this information, the local police nabbed him. After confirmation at Kamrej police station, the arrested accused and his accomplice Tinabhai alias Tinia have confessed to their crime. Then Dindoli Police handed over the accused to Kamrej Police and Kamrej Police has taken further action.
