Karra (Khunti): A mass wedding program was organized by Brishti Green Farmers Torpa Road Khunti, FTO Farmers Group and Women’s Group on Sunday at Cholva Patra Station Road Jamhar in Karra block of Khunti district of Jharkhand. A total of 501 couples got married in this. Chief Guest Union Minister cum Khunti MP Arjun Munda and his wife Meera Munda, MLA Koche Munda, social workers Roshan Lal Sharma and Veena Sharma blessed the newly married couples.
Union Minister Arjun Munda said that this is a commendable initiative. Now the newly married couple will be able to live together socially. Their registration will also be done. This will strengthen their married life. He told that model Eklavya schools are being opened by the central government at various places. So that children can get better education and an educated and civilized society can be built. The program was coordinated by Sumit Kumar.
