Major action in vehicle releasing forgery in Sonbhadra, UP, three absconders including then ARTO declared

Lucknow : In Sonbhadra district of UP, the police has taken major action in the case of vehicles rescued from various police stations on a large scale by making fake release orders and fake court receipts. Despite serving the notice of 82 CrPC issued by the court, three including the then ARTO Praveen Shankar Rai have been declared absconders for not appearing. A separate FIR has also been lodged against the three in this case on behalf of Myorpur police station chief Avinash Kumar Singh, who is investigating the case.

FIR was registered after DM’s strictness

It is worth noting that in the past, the matter of getting rid of about 300 vehicles by making fake receipts in the name of the court came to the fore, then after the strictness of DM Chandra Vijay Singh and tightening the departmental screws, the then ARTO Praveen Shankar Rai from Myorpur, Hathinala, Chopan, Windhamganj And an FIR was lodged in Babhni police station. When the police started investigation in the matter, the matter of forgery came to the fore on a large scale, along with outsiders, the then ARTO and the then table assistant were also found guilty of forgery.

So far eight people have been arrested in this case. At the same time, three people including the then ARTO Praveen Shankar Rai are absconding. In view of his absconding, the police informed the court about the facts.

Did not appear even after serving the notice

On this a notice of 82 CrPC was issued from the court. The notice was also served in the first week of April. Despite this, neither the police could get any information about Praveen Shankar Rai, currently living in Varanasi, Pankaj Patel, Nipraj resident of Robertsganj Kotwali area and Vaibhav Mishra, resident of Urmaura, who are still absconding. None of the above three has appeared in the court after it was done.

In view of this, an FIR has been lodged against all three at Myorpur police station under Section 174-A IPC on behalf of In-charge Inspector Myorpur Avinash Kumar Singh.
