New Delhi, May 15 (Hindustan Times). Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupendra Yadav on Monday launched a mobile application named ‘My Life’ (My Life). The app is inspired by the concept of ‘Life’ envisioned by the Prime Minister in ‘Cop 26’. It emphasizes on conscious and necessary use rather than unnecessary consumption.

Mission ‘LIFE’ (Lifestyle for Environment) was launched by the Prime Minister on 20 October 2022 at Kevadia, Gujarat. It focuses on bringing about behavior change through simple easy actions.

Speaking on the occasion, Yadav said that this app would showcase the power of the citizens, especially the youth, in saving the environment. He mentioned that simple experiments in daily life through this app can have a huge impact on the climate. The minister hoped that the portal and the app together would make ‘LIFE’ a national movement.

The Ministry has also prepared two portals dedicated to Mission ‘LIFE’. With this, the progress made regarding ‘Life’ can be tracked. The Mission Life portal is open access and can be used to download over 100 creative, video and knowledge content. The ‘My Life’ portal has been developed for Ministries and Institutions to upload event reports and track the progress of public campaigns.
