The prices of industrial producers in Jordan increased by 2.59% in the first quarter of this year

The general index of industrial producers’ prices in Jordan rose in the first quarter of this year by 2.59%, to reach 137.20 points, compared to 133.73 points for the same period last year.
The Jordanian Department of Statistics confirmed in its monthly report issued today that this rise came as a result of the rise in the price index of manufacturing industries by 1.63%, whose relative importance is 86.01%, and the price index of extractive industries by 23.65%, whose relative importance is 8.22%. While the electricity price index decreased by 9.56%, of which its relative importance is 5.76%.
It pointed to the rise in the industrial producer price index for the month of March of this year to reach 137.99 compared to 137.43 for the same month last year, registering an increase of 0.41%.
She explained that among the most prominent industrial groups that contributed to this increase were the extractive industries index by 27.50%, whose relative importance constituted 28.2%, while the manufacturing industries price index decreased by 1.02%, whose relative importance constituted 86.01%, and the electricity price index. by 11.52%, of which the relative importance is 5.76%.
