Karnataka Election Result 2023: Congress registered a record-breaking victory in the Karnataka assembly elections. After three decades, Congress has got such a big victory in any assembly election. Muslim candidates and voters have also played a big role in the victory of Congress. The biggest thing is that all the Muslim candidates who have registered victory in the state belong to the Congress. Nine Muslim candidates have won the Karnataka elections and all of them are from the Congress party. Let us tell you, Congress has done a great job by winning 135 out of 224 assembly seats in Karnataka. In this election, BJP has won 66 seats. BJP has lost the election.

The Muslim side has united: It is clear from Karnataka election results that Muslim votes are in favor of Congress. The number of Muslim voters in the total electorate of Karnataka is about 13 percent. The Congress party had promised to restore the four per cent reservation for Muslims, which had been scrapped by the previous BJP government. Significantly, this was the first assembly election in the state after the hijab controversy and the five-year ban on the Islamic organization Popular Front of India (PFI) by the central government.

9 Muslim candidates of Congress won: Congress gave ticket to 15 Muslim candidates in Karnataka assembly elections and 9 of them won. At the same time, JDS fielded 23 Muslim candidates, but none could win. Asaduddin Owaisi’s All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul Muslimeen (AIMIM) contested on two seats and got only 0.02 per cent of the total votes polled. PFI’s political wing SDPI also had a similar fate as none of its 16 candidates could open an account.
