A state in Eastern India: A student died under suspicious circumstances in a private school located in Nai Bazar area of Gaya’s Sherghati. After this, the angry relatives created ruckus for hours. The dead body was stopped for hours from going for postmortem. The deceased child has been identified as Ankit Kumar, 12-year-old son of Ajay Paswan, a resident of Angra village under Dobhi police station area. Ajay Kumar Paswan, the father of the deceased, said that two children, 12-year-old Ankit Kumar and Abhishek Kumar, used to live and study in the New Indira Gandhi Residential School. Both the children were enrolled in the month of December. He told that he had talked to the children only two days back. Everything was fine. On Friday evening, information about the child’s mild illness was received by the school. After that said to come and meet in the morning. But, as soon as morning the school called again and it was told that the child’s health is very serious. By the time people from home could reach the school, the school director and teachers took the child to the sub-divisional hospital Sherghati for treatment and fled from there. At the same time, the doctors of the hospital declared the child dead after seeing it. Relatives of the deceased told that there were wounds everywhere on the child’s body. There blood is coming out of the leg.
Family members are feared to be beaten
The relatives suspect that the child has been brutally beaten. Here, as soon as the information about the incident was received, Sherghati Police Station President Raj Kishore Singh reached the hospital along with the team and started investigating the matter. Postmortem the dead body, he told that the police is trying to find out the cause of the child’s death. He told that an application has been given by the family members against the teachers of the school. Further action is being initiated after registering a prima facie case. He told that it has been sent for postmortem. Only after that it will be clear that how and for what reasons the child died. After the death of the child, the family members including mother Soni Devi-father are in bad condition by crying. On the other hand, the old grandmother of the child was crying bitterly saying that we had forbidden everyone from going outside to study. If our child had stayed at home today, this accident would not have happened.

Seeing the deceased Ankit, everyone’s eyes in the hospital became moist. Everyone was surprised to see the wound on the child’s body. It may be noted that in the month of January, a student of Gurua, studying in Ryan Public School located in Nai Bazar area, died due to drowning in a pit during idol immersion. In this incident, a case was registered against the school operator under various sections including negligence. But, despite the passage of more than four months, till now the director of the accused school is away from the grip of the police.
