UP Nikay Election Results 2023: Whose government will be formed in the cities in Uttar Pradesh, it will become clear after the EVM results are out on Saturday. Women reserved 6 seats for the post of mayor in 17 municipal corporations
This time, out of total 17 municipal corporations, Lucknow, Kanpur and Ghaziabad were reserved for general category women. While seats were reserved for OBC women in Shahjahanpur and Firozabad, Agra was reserved for SC women. The important thing is that apart from these reserved seats for women, women candidates were seen in the fray for the post of Mayor in other seats as well. Apart from the reserved seats for women, the SP also gave tickets to women candidates on two seats. In these, Kajal Nishad contested from Gorakhpur and Seema Pradhan from Meerut. Apart from this, BSP has given ticket to Khadija Masood from Saharanpur. She is the sister-in-law of former MLA Imran Masood.
