Gujarat: Railway Police compiles a list of 21 gangs involved in theft in the state

As soon as the school holidays start, people are going to visit various places. Taking advantage of this opportunity, the local gangs of Gujarat have become active. Apart from this, inter-state gangs have also carried out incidents of theft by breaking open the locks of locked houses in major cities of the state, especially in Ahmedabad. So, to prevent theft during the holidays, Rajkumar Pandian, IGP, Railway Division, CID Crime in the state, has released a handbook of theft gangs. These booklets have been given to people including traders, small vendors, porters near the railway station.

The Railway Police has said that members of inter-state gangs commit thefts in the cities of Gujarat and escape by sitting in the railways. The police are also roaming around to find the culprits but are not getting any success. Therefore, apart from Gujarat, gangs coming from other states including Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, which have been caught by the police earlier. By collecting the data of all those gangs, the top police officers have prepared a list of 21 gangs. In which the working of thieves, photos of thieves and their characteristics are shown in this booklet.

The numbers of some railway police officers and railway police have also been written in this booklet so that the police can easily catch such inter-state gangs. So that if any member of the gang is seen, the traders, ferias and coolies can immediately inform the police officer about it. The people who have been given this booklet by the police have also been given special training. So that if any member of this gang is seen, then the incident of theft can be stopped by giving information about it immediately to the police officer. However, how successful this new experiment of the police will be, it will be known only after the holiday.
