Giridih: Stop destroying tribals, administration given ultimatum till May 17

If the action of the forest department against the tribals does not stop, then agitation will be done.

Adivasi Sangharsh MorchaA delegation led by All India Kisan Mahasabha and CPI Male met Giridih DC Naman Priyesh Lakda on Friday. The delegation demanded from him to give land pattas to these tribals and the needy along with an immediate stop on the action of the forest department to destroy the tribals settled on the forest land for many generations.

DC gave assurance

During this, an eight-point demand letter was also handed over to the DC on behalf of the CPI-ML team. The delegation also demanded construction of roads in deprived tribal villages, providing employment to the laborers by forming societies, providing support to orphans and destitute children, providing pension to all old people, widows and disabled people. The DC assured the delegation of positive action.

After the meeting, former CPI-ML MLA Rajkumar Yadav said that if the process of eviction of tribals is not stopped, thousands of people will be forced to come on the road on May 17.
