PM Modi e-inaugurated 3265 Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana houses built by Surat Municipal Corporation at a cost of more than Rs 285 crore from Gandhinagar. PM Modi also interacted with Surat’s female beneficiary Deepal Patel. Efforts are being made by the state government to make Surat a slum free city and people get their own houses. Under which the municipality has prepared Prime Minister’s residence at a cost of Rs 285.12 crore.
House keys given to beneficiaries
The main Awasotsav program of Surat was held at Suman Mundra residence in Pal. The beneficiaries also expressed their gratitude to the government for providing their houses to the small-poor as well as the middle class people. Surat Municipal Corporation launched a total of 3265 flats by PM Modi from Gandhinagar, in which 450 flats in eighth zone, 2483 in Rander zone and 332 flats in Udhna zone were dedicated to the beneficiaries.

On this occasion, PM Modi interacted with Surat’s female beneficiary Deepal Patel through virtual medium from Gandhinagar. Questions were asked to PM Modi on how the family is feeling after the house allotted by the government.
