PM Kisan: Yogi government will run a special campaign for the Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, aiming to connect the left out beneficiaries

Lucknow : In Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government will run a special campaign to increase the coverage of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. The Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, an ambitious scheme run by the central government, has a provision to give Rs 6,000 annually to eligible farmers. The campaign, which will run from May 22 to June 10, will aim to strengthen the Gram Panchayat by covering maximum farmers under the scheme. In this campaign, officers and employees of Agriculture Department including Revenue Department, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department will go door to door.

A large number of farmers are not getting the benefits

In Uttar Pradesh, 2,83,10,177 farmers are included in this scheme. A spokesperson of the UP government said that CM Yogi has directed the officials to run a continuous campaign to benefit 100 percent eligible farmers of the state. Chief Secretary DS Mishra has been asked to monitor the implementation of the scheme.

At the same time, the Chief Secretary had recently held a meeting of the farmers who were deprived of the benefits of the scheme. He was informed by various departments that a large number of open source application farmers in the state are not covered under the scheme. Similarly, the farmers whose land records (Bhulekh) are not updated. They are not getting the benefit of the scheme.

Target to reach 100% eligible farmers

Till now the distribution of 13 installments has been completed under the PM Kisan Yojana. Now e-KYC has been made mandatory for the 14th installment. Agriculture Department will be the nodal department of the entire campaign. Representatives of Gram Pradhan, Village Development Officer, Panchayat Secretary, Lekhpal, Technical Assistant (Agriculture), Common Service Center, Post Office will be present in the camps to be held at Gram Panchayat level, so that Aadhaar hassle free e-KYC with bank accounts and land seeding can be ensured.
