The Planning and Statistics Authority announced the monthly report on the statistics of building permits and building completion certificates issued by all municipalities of the country.
The agency revealed that the number of building permits decreased during the month of April 2023 by 42.49% on an annual basis, as the number of building permits reached 383 permits, compared to 666 permits during the month of March 2023.
Building permits
In a quick review of the data of building permits issued during the month of April 2023 according to their geographical distribution, Al Rayyan Municipality comes at the forefront of the municipalities in terms of the number of building permits issued, as it issued 102 permits, or 27% of the total licenses issued, while the Doha Municipality came in second place with 89 license, i.e. 23%, followed by Al Wakra Municipality, which issued 82 licenses, or 21%, and then Al Daayen Municipality, with 48 licenses, or 13%.
By analyzing the data of new residential building permits, we find that villa permits top the list, constituting 84% (104 permits) of the total new residential building permits, followed by apartment buildings with a percentage of 9% (11 permits), then housing loan housing category with a rate of 6% (7 permits). licenses).
When comparing the number of licenses issued during April 2023 with the number of licenses issued during the previous month, we find that there is a decrease of 42%. This decrease was clearly observed in all municipalities: Al Shamal (70%), Umm Salal (63%), Al Daayen (62%), Al Sheehaniya (58%), Al Rayyan (45%), Al Wakrah (37%), Doha (23%), Al Khor (6%).
Building completion certificates
In a quick review of the data of building completion certificates issued during the month of April 2023 according to their geographical distribution, we find that Al-Rayyan Municipality comes at the forefront of the municipalities in terms of the number of building completion certificates issued, as it issued 75 certificates, or 30% of the total building completion certificates issued, while it came Al Daayen municipality ranked second with 59 certificates, or 23%.
When comparing the number of certificates issued during April 2023 with the number of certificates issued during the previous month, we find that there is a general decrease of 37%. This decrease was observed in all municipalities: Al Shamal (67%), Doha (56%), Al Wakra (47%), Al Daayen (32%), Al Khor (28%), Al Sheehaniya (25%), Al Rayyan (22%), and Umm Salal (20%).
