Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stone of many projects on one day Gujarat tour on 12th

New Delhi / Gandhinagar May 11 (Hindustan). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat on May 12 and attend the convention of All India Education Association in Gandhinagar. After this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth about Rs 4400 crore in the afternoon. After this the Prime Minister will visit GIFT City.

Will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of development projects worth more than Rs 2450 crore during the program in Gandhinagar. These include projects of Urban Development Department, Water Supply Department, Road and Transport Department and Mines and Minerals Department. The projects being inaugurated include extension of multi-village drinking water supply schemes in Banaskantha district, river overbridge in Ahmedabad, drainage collection network at Naroda GIDC, sewage treatment plants at Mehsana and Ahmedabad, auditorium at Dahegam etc. The projects for which foundation stones will be laid include bulk pipeline project in Junagadh district, expansion of water supply schemes in Gandhinagar district, construction of flyover bridges, new water distribution stations, various town planning roads etc.

The Prime Minister will also inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of PM Awas Yojana (rural and urban) projects. Along with this, he will also participate in the house warming of about 19 thousand houses built under the scheme. He will hand over the keys to the beneficiaries of the scheme during the event. The total outlay of these projects is around Rs 1950 crore.

The Prime Minister will visit the ‘Gujarat International Finance Tec-City’ (GIFT City), Gandhinagar. During the visit, he will review the status of various ongoing projects in GIFT City. There will also be an interaction with GIFT IFSC entities to understand their experience and future plans in GIFT City.

The Prime Minister will also visit key infrastructure facilities of the city, including the ‘Underground Utility Tunnel’ and the ‘Automated Waste Collection Segregation Plant’. The Prime Minister will attend the All India Education Association Convention, the 29th biennial convention of the All India Primary Teachers Association.
