Anindita Jain, a resident of Jhansi, has prepared such an ‘app’, which is being praised by the scientists of the country today. Anindita Jain has developed an app named ‘Laxmi’ to reduce maternal mortality. Anindita has been awarded the ‘Young Scientist of India’-2022-23 Award for making this app. She was selected from among more than 5000 young scientists of the country and Anindita was given this honor in a program organized in Chennai.
What is ‘Lakshmi’ app
The ‘Laxmi’ app is a mobile app designed to reduce maternal mortality. Asha workers, doctors and pregnant women can connect with each other through the app. Even illiterate women can interact through emoji on this app. Pregnant women, Asha workers and doctors can all connect with each other through the Lakshmi app. Through this, doctors and ASHA workers can keep an eye on the dosage of iron, folic acid tablets and the health status of pregnant women. If a patient is reaching emergency in critical condition, he can notify on the duty mobile of the doctor of emergency through the app. So that the doctors and staff can get time to prepare and better treatment can be provided.
Inspired by Prime Minister’s ‘Mann Ki Baat’
Anindita studies in a private school in Jhansi itself. Anindita told Hindustan News that she has heard Prime Minister Narendra Modi many times talking about reducing maternal mortality. This is where he got the inspiration to make this app. His school teachers also helped him a lot in this.
Significantly, Anindita’s father Dr. Anshul Jain is the director of the Paramedical College of Jhansi. He himself has developed many unique techniques and apps to help patients.
