Hamad International records a 44.5% growth in passenger traffic

Hamad International Airport continues to excel in operations after its great success in 2022. During the first quarter of 2023, it achieved further growth in the number of its departing and arriving passengers, by recording an increase of 44.5% in passenger traffic and an increase of 18.5% in aircraft traffic, compared to the previous period. Same as last year.
Hamad International Airport witnessed a total of 10,315,695 passengers during the first quarter of 2023 – of which 3,558,918 passengers were in January, 3,240,114 in February and 3,516,663 in March. Aircraft movements also increased compared to last year, as the total movement of aircraft arriving at and departing from the airport reached 56,417: 19,377 in January, 17,479 in February, and 19,561 in March.
During the first quarter of 2023, Hamad International Airport handled more than 540,000 tons of cargo and transported more than 8 million bags through its facilities, including more than 5 million converted flight bags, which indicates the preference it enjoys as a center for transferring flights for travelers. across the world.
