New Delhi, 06 May (Hindustan Times). Last month, a woman passenger was stung by a scorpion on a flight of Tata-led airline Air India (AI) from Nagpur to Mumbai. However, the female passenger with whom this incident took place a fortnight back is now absolutely healthy.

Air India has given this information in a statement released on Saturday. The airline informed that there was an extremely rare and unfortunate incident of scorpion sting on a female passenger on flight AI-630 on April 23. After landing at the airport, the passenger was examined by a doctor and later after treatment at the hospital, the victim woman passenger was discharged.

Air India said that after this incident, Air India’s engineering team inspected the aircraft. The team searched the aircraft following all protocols and brought out the scorpion. After this the plane was cleaned. The airline has also apologized to the passenger for the incident.

It is noteworthy that in December last year, a snake was found in the Air India Express plane after landing at Dubai airport. Even before this, cases of reptiles being found in the aircraft have come to the fore.
