The Qatar Stock Exchange index started trading today, up by 0.69%, adding 72.61 points to its balance, and rising to the level of 10557 points, supported by five sectors.
The Qatar Stock Exchange attributed the positive performance of the general index to the increase in the performance of the telecommunications sector by 2.60%, the banking and financial services sector by 1.09%, the consumer goods and services sector by 0.25%, the industrial sector by 0.21%, and the real estate sector by 0.17%. On the other hand, the performance was negative for the transportation sector. by 0.02% and the insurance sector by 0.19%.
The stock exchange recorded, at around 10:00 am, transactions worth 121.040 million riyals, distributed to 49.984 million shares, with the implementation of 3748 transactions.
