Kupwara, May 03 (Hindustan Times). Two terrorists were killed in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in Machil area of Kupwara district on Wednesday. The search operation of the security forces is still going on in search of other accomplices of the slain terrorists.
According to information, a joint team of army and police cordoned off the entire area and started a search operation after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in Machil area of the district on Wednesday morning. During this, the terrorists started firing on seeing the security forces coming near. After which the encounter started. During the encounter, the security forces killed two terrorists. At present, information about the identity of the slain terrorists is not available. The operation of security forces is still going on in search of other terrorists in the area.
Meanwhile, the Kashmir Police Zone said in a tweet that the army and police are on the job. Police tweeted that two terrorists have been killed in the Kupwara encounter. The search operation is still going on.
