Surat: Controversy over slapping of junior by senior resident doctor in Civil Hospital, inquiry committee formed

Controversy has come to the fore in Surat’s New Civil Hospital over the incident of senior resident doctor slapping a junior resident doctor. Patients from South Gujarat and other villages also come for treatment at Majuragate Civil Hospital. During the day there is an inflow of patients in the department including medicine, ENT, gynecology of the hospital. Then during the last one week, there is talk of a clash between senior-junior resident doctors in the Department of Medicine. In which the senior resident doctor slapped the junior resident doctor.

The senior reprimands the junior for working slowly and it is revealed that the senior-junior slapped the two doctors after a scuffle. After this incident, the nursing staff, aaya, ward boy and other employees have become the subject of discussion. The higher officials of the hospital are probing the entire matter by forming an inquiry committee.
