Director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ is doing well at the box office. The film crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in just two days of its worldwide release on 28 April. The film has collected good reviews on the third day as well. Ever since the first part of the film came out last year, fans were waiting for the second part. Now the second part is getting good response from the audience.

‘Ponniyin Selvan 2’ collected Rs 24 crore on its first day of release. After that, the film earned 26.2 crores on the next day i.e. Saturday. The film has earned better on the third day than on both the days. According to trade analyst Ramesh Bala, ‘Ponniyin Selvan-2’ has earned Rs 150 crore worldwide in just three days, so now it has to be seen how the film performs this week.

According to the initial trend report of ‘SacNilk’, the film collected Rs 30 crore on Sunday i.e. the third day of its release. With this, the film’s total nationwide collection has gone up to 80.20 crores. Looking at the pace of the film’s earnings, it is expected that it will soon cross the magical figure of 100 crores.
