BJP number one in Maharashtra by winning 67 market committees, NCP in second place

Mumbai, May 01 (Hindustan Times). In Maharashtra, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has emerged as number one in the election of 236 market generating committees by winning 67 market committees. The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) came second by winning 58 market committees. The BJP and its ally Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) have won 14 market committees. The BJP and its allies have dominated a total of 81 market committees.

In this election, Mahavikas Aghadi’s Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) has won 58, Congress 50 and Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party has won 18 market committees. In this way Mahavikas Aghadi together with all the three allies has won a total of 126 market committees. Independent candidates have won on 29 market committees.

Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray faction spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that these results have shown that there is an anti-government wave among the general public. Shinde faction leader and minister Abdul Sattar told that this election was of small scale. Only BJP and its allies are going to win in the upcoming elections.
