India’s art, culture and heritage left an indelible impression on the G-20 delegates: Anurag Thakur

New Delhi, 29 April (Hindustan). Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Anurag Singh Thakur said that G-20 has achieved new achievements under the chairmanship of India. The discussions are going on successfully. India’s rich art, culture and heritage have left an indelible mark on delegates across the world. He was addressing a press conference after the two-day Y-20 Pre-Summit held in Leh.

Thakur said that around 103 delegates who attended the Y-20 Pre-Summit in Leh were mesmerized by the monasteries, Sangam and picturesque natural scenery of Leh and wanted to return to Ladakh again. The Y20 Pre-Summit has gone off successfully despite confusion created by many regarding the event.

He informed that as a result of the Leh Pre-Summit, five themes of the Y20 Summit have been agreed upon among the participating countries and international organizations. There have been important suggestions regarding future challenges including reskilling and upskilling.

He said that the Y-20 summit is providing an extraordinary opportunity for youth and the world alike to shape their national and international dialogue. It is constantly striving to find solutions to the problems of our respective regions in many ways. The Union Minister also called upon the youth to explore new ideas, develop innovative relationships and bring change.

He said the Y-20 theme has been carefully chosen to empower youth to build, support and contribute to the development agenda of the G20 and the global community as a whole.

Union Minister Thakur launched two short videos on Azadi ki Amrit Kahaniyan at the closing ceremony. Modi @ 20 book was also released on this occasion. In the launch program, Lieutenant Governor of Leh-Ladakh Brigadier (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd) also participated. Tashi Gyalson, Chief Executive Councilor and Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Member of Parliament, Ladakh were also present in the event. This pre-summit was held from 26 to 28 April.
