The film is likely to be the highest grosser in Tamil Nadu. In comparison to the second part, the first part earned Rs 34 crore in India and Rs 80 crore worldwide on its first day. The earning of the second part is Rs 2 crore less than the first part.

According to media reports, “PS-2” had sold advance tickets worth Rs 7.6 crore before the show. So the advance booking for the first part was Rs 16 crore. In an interview to the media, trade analyst Ramesh Bala said that it is not correct to compare PS-2 with “KGF Chapter 2” or “Bahubali 2”. Because fans didn’t have to wait nearly as long for “PS-2” as the second installment of both of those movies.

“Ponniyin Selvan 2” stars Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Sobhita Dhulipala and others. The film has been released in India in five languages ​​Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.
