In the Surat Municipal Corporation’s Udhna zone, there was an uproar over the sealing of shops of traders doing business by illegally occupying the road outside the shops in the presence of the police. In Pandesara Housing, shopkeepers illegally occupy half way outside shops. The shopkeepers created ruckus when Udhna Zone started the campaign to seal such shops. The work of sealing ten such shops was done. Since the municipality took action against such shopkeepers, the traffic problem in this area has reduced somewhat.

There was pressure from shopkeepers in Pandesara residence of Udhna zone of Surat Municipal Corporation. Due to which the problem of traffic increased. Despite the shopkeepers giving notice twice, the shopkeepers were creating pressure outside the shop. After this, the municipality started action against such shopkeepers with the deployment of police.
Motorists face a lot of trouble due to traffic jam
Due to the pressure on the road in this area, even vehicles are not able to pass. The shopkeepers sell the goods of the shop in huge quantity outside the shop. Due to which the situation of jam persists, the drivers coming and going on the road have to face a lot of trouble. Not only this, many times the ambulance also gets stuck in the jam.
Temporary traffic problem reduced
Even after the notification of the municipality, the pressure did not subside, so 10 shops were sealed. The traders who came under pressure created a ruckus to stop the work of the municipality, due to which the atmosphere got heated. However, the temporary traffic problem in the area has subsided as the municipality with the help of the police has eased the pressure.
