For the first time in the country, the first Gurukul school for girls will be built in Surat city. Gurukul will be constructed on 6 lakh square feet of land in Vadod village of the city. Rs 150 crore will be spent on its construction. In Gurukul, facilities for education, living and food will be available for 2500 daughters at the same time.

Kanya Gurukul will be run by women. On April 22, from 5 pm, the foundation stone laying program took place in Vadod village. In which Rajkot Devkrishndas Swami, Mahant Devprasaddas Swami, Surat’s Dharmavallabh Swami and other saints and more than 10 thousand Hari devotees were present. Anyone can get their child admitted without any discrimination of caste and religion. Keeping in mind the new education policy of the government, daughters from class 6th to 12th will be able to stay in hostels along with studies. Transport arrangements will be made for the daughters of class 1st to 5th.

More than 200 women will join the board of trustees

Male guardians will also not get entry in the campus. Acharya – All staff including teachers, peons, clerks, cleaning staff, admin will be women. Women will also run the hostel. Women will also take care of prayer satsang, religious rites. 30 women have become trustees by donating 51 lakhs. 16 women have taken advantage of the donor of one room by paying five lakhs. Rajkot Swaminarayan Gurukul was started by Dharmajeevan Swami in Gurukul 75 years ago. Today 175 Gurukuls are being operated in the country under Swaminarayan Sampradaya Vadtal.
