After last week’s clash between the fanatics and the local people, the people of Kot area created ruckus by visiting the MLA’s house today. As soon as the crowd of people reached the MLA’s house, politics suddenly got hot.
On Sunday, residents of Kot area went to the house of MLA Arvind Rana and created ruckus over illegal pressure and turbulent flow in the area. The local people have demanded from the MLA that outside anti-social elements sell goods on the road in Kot area, which increases the traffic problem. It becomes difficult to walk on the road especially on Sundays. Those who pressurize sell goods by placing them in the middle of the way.
The highway and Kot areas of Surat city have been occupied by bullies. This leads to tension between the people living in the area and those exerting pressure. Last week, there was a big ruckus over the issue with both the sides attacking and threatening the peace of the city. Even after this incident, instead of getting relief, pressure has increased at many places in Chowta Bazar, Kot area of the city. Apart from this, the violence of those who pressurize is increasing due to which people are getting agitated in Kot area.
MLA Arvind Rana listened to the problems of the people and assured to take them to the administration. Assured to hold a joint meeting with the Municipal Corporation and the Police Department for a permanent solution to the pressure problem in Kot area.
