New Delhi, 20 April (Hindustan). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address civil servants on the occasion of Civil Services Day at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday. Also, during this event, the Prime Minister will give away awards for excellent work in public administration.
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, the Excellence Awards have been instituted with a view to recognize the extraordinary and innovative work done by the Central and State Governments, districts and organizations for the welfare of the common citizens.
Four identified priority programs – Promotion of clean water through Har Ghar Jal Yojana, Promotion of Healthy India through Health and Wellness Centres, Promotion of quality education with equitable and inclusive classroom environment through Samagra Shiksha, Aspirational Holistic Development through District Program – Awarded for exemplary work done in holistic progress with special focus on saturation approach. Eight awards will be given for these four identified programmes, while seven awards will be given for innovations.
