Army started online common entrance exam at 375 examination centers of the country

New Delhi, 17 April (Hindustan Times). Indian Army has changed the process for recruitment of Agniveer, Junior Commissioned Officer and other categories. In the first phase, the online Common Entrance Exam (CEE) has started from Monday. For the registered candidates, the common entrance exam started from today at 375 examination centers of 176 All India Institutes of the country will run till 26 April. This online examination is being conducted with the help of Mini Ratna Company Education Consultancy Services India Limited under the Ministry of Education.

The Army said in a statement that with the increased network connectivity and proliferation of smartphones in the country, the youth are now empowered to appear for online exams instead of traveling long distances. The changed methodology will ensure more focus on cognitive aspect during selection and prevent any possibility of malpractices. It will also make the exam more manageable and easy to conduct along with reducing the rush seen during recruitment rallies across the country.

It has been told in the statement that the new recruitment process will be completed in three phases. In the first phase, youths who register and apply online at www.joinindianarmy.nic.in will undergo an online Common Entrance Test.

Candidates shortlisted in the examination will be called for recruitment rallies in the second phase from June 2023 onwards in multiple stages at the places to be decided from the respective Army Recruiting Office, where they will undergo Physical Fitness Test and Physical Measurement Test. The last third stage will be the medical test of the selected candidates. After that the final merit list of successful candidates will be declared.
