Prime Minister flagged off the first Vande Bharat train of Rajasthan

New Delhi, 12 April (Hindustan Times). Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday flagged off Vande Bharat Express, the country’s 15th and Rajasthan’s first indigenous semi-high speed train through video conference from Delhi. Prime Minister Modi said on this occasion that the land of Rajasthan, which worships Maa Bharti, is getting the first “Vande Bharat” train today. With the introduction of Delhi Cantt-Ajmer Vande Bharat Express, commuting to Jaipur-Delhi will be easy. This train will also help the tourism industry of Rajasthan.

Many dignitaries including Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav were present in the inauguration program organized at Jaipur Railway Station. The regular service of Ajmer-Delhi Cantt-Ajmer Vande Bharat train will start from 13 April. Vande Bharat train has 16 chaircar coaches. It has a seating capacity of 1128 passengers.

The passengers present at the Jaipur station expressed happiness over the introduction of the new train and said that with the commencement of train operations, the common people will get a big relief and the journey to Delhi will be completed in less time.

Regular operation of Ajmer-Delhi Cantt-Ajmer Vande Bharat train service will start from 13 April. Train No. 20977, Ajmer-Delhi Cantt Vande Bharat Express 6 days a week (Except Wednesday) leaving Ajmer at 6:20 AM, arriving Jaipur at 7:50 AM and departing at 07:55 AM, Alwar arriving at 9:35 AM and departing at 09:37 AM, Gurugram at 11:15 AM Arrival and departure at 11:17 to reach Delhi Cantt at 11:35.

Train No. 20978, Delhi Cantt – Ajmer Vande Bharat Express 6 days a week (Except Wednesday) leaving Delhi Cantt at 18:40 hrs, arriving Gurugram at 18:51 hrs & departing at 18:53 hrs, Alwar arriving at 20:17 hrs & departing at 20:19 hrs, Jaipur at 22:05 hrs Arrival at 10:00 and departure at 22:10 and will reach Ajmer at 23:55.
