Dibrugarh (Assam), 11 April (Hindustan Times). Union Home Minister Amit Shah has claimed that the BJP will win 12 of the 14 Lok Sabha seats in Assam in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister of the country for the third time by winning more than 300 seats.
Amit Shah while addressing the BJP workers rally organized at Mankta Maidan in Dibrugarh today (Tuesday) paid tribute to the great man Shrimant Shankar Dev and Sudhakant Dr. Bhupen Hazarika. Also congratulated the people of Assam on Bihu. Laying the foundation stone of BJP’s regional office in Dibrugarh, he said that BJP is a party based on organizations. The office is the center of all party activities. Today, along with the organizational work of six Lok Sabha constituencies, the office bearers of Dibrugarh will also work smoothly from this regional office.
Shah said that a few days ago, the BJP got good results in the assembly elections in the three northeastern states and became a part of all the three state governments. In Tripura, the BJP has formed the government for the second time with a majority. With 13 MLAs in the Nagaland Assembly, the BJP is in power for the second time with a Deputy Chief Minister and the party is also part of the government in Meghalaya for the second time. Shah said that the Vijay Yatra started by the BJP from Assam has been successfully extended to eight states.
He said that the BJP’s NDA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promoted the development of the North East. Hitting out at the Congress, Shah said, “At one time the Northeast was considered the foundation of the Congress. Now Rahul Gandhi has traveled across the country, on the other hand Congress has been destroyed in three states. But Rahul Gandhi still remains clueless. They go abroad and talk bad about the country. Advising Rahul Gandhi to make timely reforms, Shah said that reforms should happen now, otherwise the Congress will end up not only from the Northeast but from the entire country one day.
Shah said that the Prime Minister who made India famous all over the world, protected India, ended terrorism from Northeast, visited Northeast more than 50 times and accelerated the development of Northeast, brought many schemes in Northeast, Congress says to such a Prime Minister that Modi will dig your grave. But, nothing will happen by saying Congress, because 130 crore people of the country and the people of Assam pray day and night for the long life of Prime Minister Modi.
Targeting Rahul Gandhi, Shah said that no matter how much you abuse Modi, your mother also tried, but the louder you abuse, the stronger the lotus will be.
He said that Prime Minister Modi will be present here on April 14 during the world record of Bihu. The people of Assam are going to create a world record in Bihu in the presence of the Prime Minister. Bihu is an auspicious festival for the whole country including Assam.
He said that Modi will come here at a time when AFSFA has been removed from 70 percent places in Assam, an atmosphere of peace has been created in Bodoland, Karbi region, eight tribal organizations have come into the mainstream, Assam today with neighboring states The border dispute is on the verge of ending. Shah said that Assam is progressing like this because of the good governance of Prime Minister Modi.
Amit Shah said that since the re-formation of the BJP-led government, more than 41,000 people have been given jobs in Assam. Paddy of 44 thousand farmers has been purchased at the rate of Rs 1940 per quintal, Assam has moved ahead with millet mission on more than 25 thousand hectares in millet production, 20 thousand hectares of land has been identified for natural farming, 2 Palm trees are being planted on lakh hectares, 12 medical colleges have been established, 12 medical colleges are being constructed and Prime Minister Modi will also gift AIIMS to the people of Assam on the day of Bihu.
Union Home Minister Shah said that the double engine government under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi has brought a stream of development in Assam. Rapid development is now possible in Assam under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi at the Center and Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Assam. He said that the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region has been increased by 65 percent in this year’s Union Budget. In his address, he said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi, the BJP government has been successful in rapid development of the entire Northeast.
