Qatar Chamber is a member of the Council of International Chambers

Her Excellency Sheikha Tamader Al Thani, Director of International Relations and Joint Chambers Affairs at Qatar Chamber and Secretary General of the International Chamber of Commerce, Qatar, was elected to the General Council of the World Chambers of Commerce (WCF) for the period from 2023 to 2025.
Sheikha Tamader was elected by members of the Chambers of Commerce, members of the Federation of World Chambers of Commerce, through a special platform to cast their votes for 20 candidates out of 37 candidates representing chambers of commerce in 37 countries around the world, which took place during the period from November 18, 2022 to December 6, 2022.
The competition took place between the candidates with the aim of serving the Council of the Federation of World Chambers of Commerce and the willingness and commitment to protect the role of the Chambers of Commerce and support the Council in its role aimed at representing the global interests of the Chambers of Commerce within the framework of the International Chamber of Commerce ICC.
The WCC General Council is the governing body that sets strategic and development directions for WCC services. The General Council consists of a global network that aims to connect, lead and inspire the global network of chambers of commerce and their respective business communities.
The council also represents more than 1,400 chambers of commerce around the world, which strengthens ties between chambers of commerce and helps each chamber provide better services in its own business community.
