The Ministry of Communications has carried out maintenance works for all navigational aids deployed along the coasts and various waterways in the State of Qatar, in cooperation with Mwani Qatar through its advanced fleet and the expertise of its professional team, which seeks to provide more efficient and sustainable marine services worldwide.
The number of navigational aids, buoys and beacons that were maintained and installed from the beginning of 2022 until the end of the first quarter of this year 2023 reached about 117 navigational aids and marine buoys. The periodic maintenance of navigational aids aims to increase their efficiency in accordance with international specifications and standards, and to identify safe areas for sailing to enhance the safety of maritime navigation.
These efforts come within the framework of the Ministry’s plans aimed at ensuring safe and effective movement of all ships in Qatari waters, in a way that preserves the safety of lives and property.
