Dr. Anand Rai, one of the whistle blowers of the infamous Vyapam scam, says that the state has reduced his security due to which he is feeling threatened. Tagging Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on social media, he wrote, “50 people related to the Vyapam scam have been killed, if I am killed in future, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will be responsible for it.”

Rai told BLiTZ, “One of the two jawans deputed for my security has been removed. I was provided security by the Hon’ble High Court in 2013. Can a security guard provide security service for 15 hours a day for 30 days in a month?’

He said the state government did not do any threat assessment before downgrading his security. Even if such an assessment was made, he was not informed about it. Indore Police Commissioner Makarand Deuskar told BLiTZ about this, “We have received orders from the police headquarters to provide only one security personnel. We have followed that.

Rai further said, ‘This is an act of revenge. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has considered me as the enemy of the state whereas I am fighting for the rights and rights of Dalits, tribals and backward classes in a constitutional manner. Rai has been active in the tribal politics of the state for a long time and he is one of the strategists of the tribal student organization JAIS.
