The head of the Romanian state reiterated that the authorities in Bucharest will support the Government in Chisinau as much as needed, and Romania is becoming more and more concerned about the situation in the Republic of Moldova and how the consequences of the war in Ukraine are affecting our country.

At the same time, the German chancellor emphasized the partnership that Berlin has with Chisinau, noting that it will continue. Special attention was given by the official to the need to solve the problems in the energy system of our country, the aim being to reduce dependence in the field.

Advertisement I am very impressed by Romania’s solidarity with the Republic of Moldova. This is an example of real European neighborhood. (…) I think it is more than a symbol, it is an expression of a partnership that already exists in reality. We will continue on this path. Romania plays an important role. We in Germany can only help. It is normal to be able to help the Republic of Moldova to stop depending on gas and energy from elsewhere. Much has been done and in the future this must be taken into account.
