Deputy Irina Lozovan announced this on her Facebook page, which published the departure statements of the five mayors.

We specify that the first of the deputies who left the ranks of the socialists was Gaik Vartanean, who joined the team of the current mayor of Chisinau, Ion Ceban. Then the Socialists said that the decision did not surprise them and asked Vartanean to submit his parliamentary mandate. This one, however, passed among the independent parliamentarians.

On March 15, the PSRM deputy, Alexandr Nesterovschi left the ranks of the socialists. The parliamentarian left the party and the faction in the Legislature. He said he was joining the “Movement for the People”.

10 days later, Irina Lozovan announced that he was leaving the BCS faction, but also the Socialist Party. She mentioned that the party cannot exist without a leader and also announced that she is joining the Movement for the People, led by the Shor Party.

We remind you that the President of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, declared that the PAS faction is ready to make changes to the legislation so that deputies who leave their factions for reasons other than ideological ones will be punished.
