BJP releases video series ‘Congress Files’ on Congress corruption

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday released the first episode of its video series ‘Congress Files’, accusing the Congress party of corruption during their 70-year rule in India. The three-minute video features former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh as well as former Congress presidents Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Congress party accused

The video alleged that the Congress party looted Rs 48,20,69,00,00,000 of the public, and said the amount could have been used for important works like security and development projects. According to the BJP, 24 INS Vikrant, 300 Rafale jets and 1,000 Mars missions could have been built or bought with this amount.

Many scams will be told

The video also lists several scams that took place during the UPA tenure from 2004-2014, including the Rs 1.86 lakh crore coal scam, the Rs 1.76 lakh crore 2G spectrum scam and the Rs 70,000 crore Commonwealth scam. At the end of the video, BJP announces that this is only a trailer of corruption of Congress and the film is not over yet.
