Coronavirus Update: Kejriwal will hold a meeting today to review the status of Kovid-19 in Delhi

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal will hold a meeting on Friday to review the COVID-19 situation in the city in the wake of increasing cases of coronavirus infection in the national capital. Delhi Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj and senior officials will attend the meeting.

Bhardwaj had met health department officials on Thursday to take stock of the situation, after which he announced that Kejriwal would review the situation.

The health minister had said that in the meeting, Kejriwal would be apprised of the results of a ‘mock drill’ conducted in government-run hospitals last week and measures taken by other states in view of the rise in cases.

According to the data released by the Health Department, 295 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in Delhi on Thursday and the infection rate was recorded at 12.48 percent.

The national capital on Wednesday recorded the highest daily cases of 300 and two deaths since August 31 last year, while the infection rate was recorded at 13.89 per cent.
