COVID-19 Update: Delhi government will hold a review meeting amid increase in cases of corona virus infection

The Delhi government will hold a meeting on Thursday to review the status of Kovid-19 amid a rise in cases of corona virus infection in the national capital. The officers provided this information.

He informed that the meeting has been called by Health Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj, which will be attended by senior officials of the health department, medical directors of government hospitals and other stakeholders.

This meeting has been called a day after new cases of infection reached 300 for the first time since August 31 last year in Delhi. The infection rate in Delhi has also increased to 13.89 per cent, as per the data shared by the city’s health department. Two cases of death due to infection have also been reported.

Delhi recorded 377 daily cases of infection on August 31 last year, while the infection rate was 2.58 percent. The number of daily cases of corona virus infection has increased in the city in the last few days amid a rise in cases of H3N2 subtype of influenza in the country.

There was a steady decline in the number of daily cases in Delhi in the last few months. So far, a total of 20,09,361 cases of Kovid-19 infection have been reported in the national capital and 26,526 people have lost their lives.
