PM Modi to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the BJP government in Tripura

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government of the coalition of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and its ally Indigenous People’s Front of Tripura (IPFT) in Tripura on March 8. A senior official gave this information on Saturday.

In the recently concluded Tripura assembly elections, BJP won 32 seats out of total 60, while its ally IPFT won one seat. A senior police officer said, “On the Prime Minister’s visit to the state, Chief Secretary S. Of. Sinha is holding a meeting with senior officials. A team of SPG is also coming today. The Prime Minister is coming to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the new government on March 8.

Chief Minister Manik Saha had submitted his government’s resignation to Governor Satyadev Narayan Arya on Friday. He told reporters that the new government will take oath on March 8 and Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to attend the ceremony. The swearing-in ceremony of the new government will be held here at Vivekananda Maidan.
