Delhi-NCR weather changed with strong winds and drizzle

Light rain lashed parts of the national capital on Wednesday morning as the city recorded a minimum temperature of 17.8 degrees Celsius, five notches above normal. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information.

The IMD has predicted partly cloudy sky with very light rain or drizzle during the day in Delhi. The department said that the relative humidity in the national capital was recorded at 54 per cent at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

According to IMD, the maximum temperature in Delhi could be around 31 degree Celsius. According to the department, the national capital recorded an air quality index (AQI) of 204 at 9 am on Wednesday, which falls in the ‘poor’ category.

An AQI between 0 and 50 is considered ‘good’, 51 and 100 ‘satisfactory’, 101 and 200 ‘moderate’, 201 and 300 ‘poor’, 301 and 400 ‘very poor’ and Between 401 and 500 is considered ‘severe’.

Delhi recorded an average maximum temperature of 27.7 degrees Celsius in the month of February this year, which is the third highest average maximum temperature recorded in the national capital in the month of February in the last 63 years, according to the data released by the authorities on Tuesday.
