Trial run of Bhopal-Indore Metro in September

Coaches for Bhopal and Indore Metro will start arriving from August and their trial run will start in September. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has already said that metro service has to be started by March 2024 under any circumstances. Keeping this in mind, the work of Metro has been expedited. Adequate attention is also being given to infrastructure development related to Metro.

State’s Urban Development Minister Bhupendra Singh says, ‘Despite the constraints of Kovid-19, the Metro is almost successful in following the deadline for operation. This is a symbol of the commitment of our government. Recently, he virtually inaugurated the coach manufacturing of Madhya Pradesh Metro Train Corporation at Alstom Transport India’s plant located at Salvi in ​​Vadodara district of Gujarat.

Manish Singh, Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation visited the Salvi plant where the technical team of Alstom explained to him the coach manufacturing process in detail.

Alstom will manufacture 81 coaches (27 three-coach trains) for Bhopal Metro and 75 coaches (25 three-coach trains) for Indore Metro. The company is also manufacturing coaches for Delhi and Lucknow Metro.
